The Software Developer is responsible for the web application development of for ApnetE clients. The position will be central to creating, testing, maintaining, organizing and designing all web applications accessible to the general public. He/she designs software or customizes software client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. He/she will analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Responsibilities and Activities

· Development: (70%)

- Writes new web applications as requested

- Test and debug programs to ensure they work properly and address security and privacy concerns

- Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions

- Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software

- Maintains current web based programs written in PHP and makes necessary corrective alterations. Troubleshoot and fix any issues relating to PHP and JavaScript programs

- Utilize source debuggers and write or modify client software

- Produce results effectively and within the deadlines set

- Interacts with databases (currently MySQL and Microsoft MSSQL) as needed

- Interacts with VMWare infrastructure to share in and support this environment

- Scripting scheduled job (Cron Job) in Linux environment by deploying Perl, Python and shell scripting language

· Database: (30%)

- Write scripts related to stored procedure and triggers

- Generate different reports and queries

- Implement data migration if required

- Implement data optimization and data integration if required

Qualifications for Software Developer

· Proven experience as a PHP developer in a competitive environment

· Strong knowledge of PHP coding, MySQL and web-based applications

· Good understanding of website integration and software creation

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Able to follow clear instructions according to client demands

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Creative ability to produce effective solutions to client problems

· Good team player that is enthusiastic about delivering results

· Able to work seated in front of a computer screen for long hours at a time

Working Environments

· Remote daily Scrum prior starting the work (Video Conferencing)

· Working remote by connection to remote server through VPN

· Sending the working hours to HR for receiving payment

· Work closely with the Team Lead in completing projects

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

Salary: From $22.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
